Mocktree Barns are situated in superb walking country - with an excellent network of footpaths and bridleways leading directly from our grounds. We provide maps, information and suggestions for your route, whether it is a short evening stroll or a day-long hike

Mortimer Trail

This popular 30 mile walking route runs from Kington to Ludlow passing through the heart of historic Mortimer Country on the way. We are happy to arrange transport to and from the trail for our guests. We are an easy 15 minutes’ drive away from a large section of the route.

Herefordshire Trail

This is a newly opened 150 mile trail around the borders of the county. It passes within 800 metres of Mocktree Barns. We provide an ideal base for at least four days’ walking on the Trail, with transport arranged at the beginning and end of each day when needed.

Shropshire Way

The southern part of this now passes just a five minute drive away. We can arrange pick up / drop off to allow you to use Mocktree Barns as a base for up to three day's walking.

We offer holidays to suit your interests and the time you have available. We cater for groups of six or more holidaying together.
